One-Hour Course

The course provides one-hour of continuing education as required by Florida Statute 455.604(1) for Florida Pharmacy relicensure - UPN 012-000-05-091-H02. Florida Board of Pharmacy No. 20-61202.
The course includes modes of transmission, infection control procedures, clinical management, and prevention of human immunodeficiency virus and acquired immune deficiency syndrome. It also covers current Florida law requirements regarding testing, confidentiality of test results, and treatment of patients. Lecture runs approximately 50 minutes. Please submit the test answer sheet with your payment of $12 to the Office of Continuing Education. To receive continuing education credit you must achieve a score of 70% or higher. See Test Answer Sheet for instructions.
Instructions for course: To receive credit you should complete the brief AETC Participant Information Form (PIF) and send it in with your answer sheet. Then follow these steps: (1) Open registration form and print it. Complete the registration information and keep it for use as you go through the lecture. When you complete the test (70% is passing) add the payment information and either fax or mail it to the address on the form. (2) Open the Course Assessment Questions. You will find this helpful when you are watching the videos. (3) Print the Antiretroviral Therapy Dosage Reference Card. This will serve as a ready reference for you in your practice. (4) Click on the HIV Update Video Lecture. The presentation should open in your browser. The plug-ins required for the course are listed on the left side of this page with the respective links.
