Adobe Acrobat. Many materials on this website were written in Acrobat (.pdf) format with Acrobat 5. You should have a current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, preferably as a plug-in to your web browser, to read them. This is a free program that you can download from Adobe. Double click on one of the links below to go the the Adobe website. Follow the directions on the screen to download this file  Once the file is saved on your hard drive - run the setup program and follow the instructions on the screen.   To edit Acrobat files, you will need  additional software such as the full Adobe Acrobat suite.

Microsoft PowerPoint. The lecture schedule includes links to handouts (in Acrobat format) for each lecture-discussion. It may also contain links to some slideshows in a non-standard HTML format that you can view only with MS Internet Explorer 5 or later.
