Dispensing to Americans by Foreign Pharmacies: Implications for Product Integrity, Patient Safety, Professional Standards, and Economics
12 general continuing education credits (UPN: 012-000-03-158-H03)
One of the most controversial issues in American pharmacy currently is the subject of Canadian and other imported prescriptions. Is it fair to the public to disallow importation? Is importation legal? Is it fair to the pharmacy business man to allow importation of foreign drugs? This continuing education program was a part of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy Law and Management Seminar. The only thing that has changed since then is the adoption of the Medicare Drug Bill, which takes effect in 2006 for most elderly Americans. You will study, not only how these drugs impact pharmacists and their business, but also the impact on your patients. Approved for 12 general continuing education credits (UPN: 012-000-03-158-H03), for 12 hours of Consultant Pharmacist Recertification credits (PSC2004-003).
