The SAS System is an integrated suite of software for enterprise-wide information delivery. The functionality of the system is built around the four data-driven tasks common to virtually any application -- data access, data management, data analysis and data presentation. Applications of the SAS System include executive information systems; data entry, retrieval, and management; report writing and graphics; statistical and mathematical analysis; business planning, forecasting, and decision support; operations research and project management; statistical quality improvement; computer performance evaluation; and applications development.
The Institute for Child Health Policy (ICHP) has agreed to provide the faculty and students of the College of Pharmacy with high-speed local area network (LAN) access to centralized SAS software resources. This access will be available via a remote desktop connection which will allow application execution to take place on their centralized server, while all keyboard, mouse and display information are redirected to the remote user's workstation. Remote sessions are full-screen and high-color, and will appear identical to your standard desktop experience, possibly with better performance than if the application were installed locally.
