Art obtained his BS in Pharmacy and Master of Pharmacy Administration from Mercer University, Southern College of Pharmacy in Atlanta. He joined the faculty of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in 1998 as Director of Continuing Education and Clinical Associate Professor.
Among the charges given to Arthur in this position is developing a series of certificate professional education programs that will put the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in the forefront among continuing education providers and to develop these programs utilizing the most modern computer technological methods.
Before joining the University of Florida faculty Art was with The Upjohn Company for 31 years. He also served as Interim Executive Vice President of the Florida Pharmacy Association and as a Health Care Consultant with Designing Solutions in the Washington, DC area.
