Lowell Sterler, is the Vice President of Pharmacy Programs at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida. In this role, he provides leadership for all pharmacy and disease management programs and initiatives.

Prior to joining BCBSF, Sterler worked for the nation’s largest pharmacy benefit management company where he held a number of executive positions. He also was the co-founder of two pharmacy benefit management companies. Most recently, he was president of Kaibab Pharmaceutical Strategies, LLC, a healthcare consulting firm specializing in healthcare management solutions.

Throughout his career, Sterler has been active in state and national professional and trade pharmacy associations. He is a past president of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) and the Foundation for Managed Care Pharmacy. Sterler was the inaugural recipient of AMCP’s Distinguished Service Award and is an elected Fellow in the Academy. He is a past executive board member of the Arizona Pharmacy Association and the Arizona Pharmacy Alliance.
