Dr. Schwartz has a current interest in research related to pharmacy education and strategic planning for educational and professional organizations. He is an elected Fellow of the APhA Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He has received the APhA's Hugo H. Schaefer award and the APhA Foundation Research Achievement Award for Stimulation of Research. He has also been named a Distinguished Alumnus by his undergraduate alma mater.
