Timothy-John Grainger-Rousseau, PhD, R.Ph

Dr. Grainger-Rousseau is a Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honors class of ‘82 graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zimbabwe at Harare. He worked in community pharmacy practice in Harare, Zimbabwe for 3 years before going to graduate school. He was awarded the John Wakeford Scholarship in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe to pursue a Master of Science degree in clinical pharmacology at the School of Pharmacy, The Queen's University of Belfast, Northern Ireland and graduated in 1989. He was awarded the Northern Pharmacies Ltd. Studentship from the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland for his doctorate studies in 1989. He graduated with his Ph.D. in pharmacy practice from the School of Pharmacy, The Queen's University of Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1992.

Dr. Grainger-Rousseau was appointed Post-Doctoral Associate at the DuBow Family Center for Research in Pharmaceutical Care, University of Florida in 1992. He consulted on the design and implementation of patient outcome studies locally and internationally including British Columbia, Canada, and Denmark. In 1996 Dr. Grainger-Rousseau joined the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice. In 1999 he returned to Florida as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Pharmacy Administration Section at Florida A&M University and later joined the University of Florida as a Clinical Assistant Professor.

His research interests include health outcomes studies, improving drug utilization, and medication use program evaluation. He is licensed to practice pharmacy in Zimbabwe, the Republic of South Africa, and the State of Florida.
