Research Interests
Novel approaches to education and training in forensic science.
The passage of drugs and metabolites across the blood/ brain barrier and the placental barrier, and the subsequent distribution, metabolism and elimination of these drugs.
Development of novel extraction and analytical techniques; FTIR, solid phase extraction, column switching techniques and supercritical fluid extraction and chromatography for the examination of drugs.
Investigation of the relationship between drug abuse and immune suppression.
