This residency, based at the Community Health Center at Eastside, focuses on comprehensive training and experience in primary care. The resident functions as a member of the interdisciplinary health-care team and works directly with physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, nurses, and psychologists. Responsibilities include operating several pharmacist-managed clinics (diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, anticoagulation, headache), pharmacotherapy consultation, drug information and patient and provider education. A research project of publishable quality is also required. Numerous teaching activities are also available.
