Mark Chirico, Ph.D.
Dr. Chirico joined the Pharmacy Practice faculty in May of 2006. He is currently the Area Health Education Center (AHEC) pharmacist practicing in underserved communities in Fanning Springs, Brooker, Trenton, and Archer. He comes from 8 years of pharmacy practice specializing in geriatrics ambulatory care at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Gainesville as well as 8 more years as a commissioned officer in the Indian Health Service in New Mexico and Arizona serving as a clinical pharmacist and Deputy Chief of Pharmacy Services at both locations. Dr. Chirico earned his Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy at Arnold and Marie Scwartz College of Pharmacy, and received his Pharm.D. degree from the Non-Traditional Doctor of Pharmacy Program at the University of Kansas.
