Research

Faculty and graduate students have active programs of research in pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, health outcomes, patient safety, effectiveness of efforts to improve the use of medications, and legal and ethical issues in medicines use. The research programs and accomplishments of faculty are summarized at each faculty’s website. The areas of research concentration of the Ph.D. program are (1) pharmacoepidemiology, (2) pharmacoeconomics, and (3) patient safety in medicines use. These are described in more detail in the sections describing the Ph.D. Areas of Research. In addition, research programs for both faculty and graduate students are supported by funding and resources available through the Perry A. Foote Outcomes Modeling Labs.
