Michael Mueller
Doctoral Candidate
Academic Programs Coordinator

Michael, a Florida native, attended the University of Florida where, in 1995, he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology. Michael returned to the University of Florida in the fall of 2001 where he joined the Pharmacy Health Care Administration program as full time student. Michael is the recipient of an Alumni Fellowship Award from the University of Florida.

Michael's current research interest is focused on the quality of life of family caregivers. In particular he is focusing on caregivers of pediatric oncology patients. Michael is also interested in how administering medications to the patient affects the caregiver and what interventions can be implemented to better prepare caregivers for their role as an unpaid health care professional. Michael would also like to focus some of his attention on pain management of pediatric oncology patients as well.

He has spent time working for the Indian Health Services as a Pharmacy Technician in Fallon and Pyramid Lake, Nevada. Michael has also completed three marathons (Disney 2004 and 2005 and Rock n Roll San Diego 2005). Michael also completed the 2006 Disney half marathon running on behalf of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
