Tamara Telfair

Tamara Telfair is currently enrolled in the Pharmacy Healthcare Administration doctoral program at the University of Florida. Prior to entering the doctoral program, Tamara attended Florida A & M University, where she earned a Master of Public Health degree. While obtaining this degree, her core interests involved infectious disease epidemiology & biostatistics. Subsequently, she gained experience while working as an Epidemiologist at the Navy Environmental Health Center in Portsmouth Virginia.
Tamara's interest in drug related morbidities, quality of life, and access to pharmaceutical care led to her enrollment in the PHCA PHD program. She plans to embark on a career as a health outcomes researcher to utilize her interest in pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacoeconomics. Her current research involves using a Markovian analysis to develop a burden of illness model for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) that examines treatment effects on quality of life and productivity.
