Education and Professional trainings
CN's previous major experiences were hospital pharmacy services on critical care and medication utilization evaluations; and the new drug review process in Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE), Taiwan.
Current Research Focuses
CN is interested in evaluation of pharmaceutical treatment outcomes involving economic, epidemiologic and pharmacogenetic approaches. Currently, she is working on a modeling study (i.e. Markov model) for the economic burden of chronic hepatitis C and the determinants of anti-viral treatment for the disease in the Florida Medicaid population. Another project relates to the switching effect of second generation antipsychotics on metabolic disorders (ex. lipid profile) and the quality of metabolic parameters monitoring in the nationwide VA population. Professional activity had included providing a background paper to assist the New Business working group of American Pharmacist Association (APhA) to state the position on the public issue of “Public access to clinical trial data” at the annual meeting in April 2005.
