Diane Balding

Diane graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida in 1990. She practiced veterinary medicine until June of 2000. The first three years after graduating, she worked as an associate veterinarian and then started her own small animal practice in Ocala, FL. In August of 2000, she returned to the University of Florida, entering the PhD program in the College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Health Care Administration.
Her focus area within the program is pharmacy-related health outcomes research, with patient related outcomes and pharmacoepidemiology being the areas of emphasis.
Diane has worked as a research assistant with the Veteran's Affairs Rehabilitation Outcomes Research Center (RORC) in Gainesville, Florida. She worked on a research project on antidepressant dispensing for poststroke patients. She is currently with the RORC, analyzing a quality of life instrument for poststroke patients.
