Dr. Lipowski practiced pharmacy in a variety of settings before earning the masters and doctoral degrees in Pharmacy Administration with emphasis in consumer behavior. She joined the faculty at the University of Florida in 1990.
Her research interest is decisions made by physicians, pharmacists and patients in the selection of pharmaceutical products and services. Dr. Lipowski teaches courses for pharmacy students on pharmacy management and public policy. She is a member of the Florida Medicaid Drug Use Review Board and has published several papers about the quality of drug use under government-sponsored programs.
Dr. Lipowski is a former AACP-AAAS Congressional Fellow and in 2004-2005 she served as President of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Research and Science and a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Pharmacists Association.
