The Department offers three areas of specialization. The selection of a specialization area should be based upon individual student interests and future career and research goals. Much of the research done in the department involves health outcomes research, which crosses disciplinary boundaries and focuses on evaluating the efficacy and effectiveness, safety, humanistic and cost outcomes of drug therapy, medical technologies and pharmacy related health services. The areas of specialization in the Department are:
