Welcome
The Center for Drug Discovery (formerly Center for Drug Design and Delivery) was established in 1985 and brings together faculty members in the Department of Pharmaceutics and Department of Pharmacodynamics, throughout the Health Science Center (Center for Neurobiology of Aging, Brain Institute, Department of Ophthalmology), and also from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Florida. In addition, the research group has strong connections and collaborations with companies that have established research facilities at the University of Florida Research Park (Alchem Laboratories, Alachua, FL), as well as other national (Alcon Laboratories, Helen Curtis, Schering-Plough Co., Houghten Pharmaceuticals), and international drug companies (Gedeon Richter Chemical Works, Budapest, Hungary; BASF-Knoll, Germany; Japanese Pharmaceutical Companies: ONO, Osaka, SENJU, Kobe, and OTSUKA, Tukushima).
