Florida Tomorrow: Giving Back
Giving Back
The University of Florida College of Pharmacy has long needed private investments from individuals, corporations and foundations to provide stability and strength and to fulfill our mission. Private funding fortifies the college, allowing it both to withstand the vagaries of government funding and to direct resources where they will have the greatest impact. Every dollar can exponentially increase the way the college embraces excellence and increases its value to society. Florida Tomorrow: The Campaign for the University of Florida is the vehicle through which friends and alumni of pharmacy at all levels can help the college best serve the global community.

Ways to Give
Cash and Securities
Cash or securities are among the most popular types of gifts for the University of Florida. Many of our alumni and friends make annual unrestricted contributions to the University of Florida Annual Fund. They may choose to restrict their gifts to specific programs or educational purposes, such as colleges, scholarships, faculty support or libraries and equipment. Donors of $2,000 or more a year, restricted or unrestricted, are recognized through the University of Florida President's Council. Checks should be payable to the University of Florida Foundation, Inc. Please indicate if you choose to restrict the purpose of your gift (e.g., a college, scholarship fund, the library, etc.)
Planned Gifts
There are various "planned giving" methods to support the University of Florida. Each offers opportunities for commitments that will have a major impact upon university excellence. Planned gifts also offer numerous benefits for donors.
The Gifts That Pay You Back
Explore giving opportunities that can provide a gift for the University of Florida AND provide you or others with income. There are certain gift methods that allow a donor and/or one or more beneficiaries to receive income from the gift for the life of the donor and/or a beneficiary, or for fixed term. In each case, after the period for the donor or the designated beneficiary to receive income payments ends, the gift passes to the University of Florida Foundation. In the year the gift is made, the donor is eligible for a charitable income tax deduction for the value of the charitable remainder interest.
